Q:
I am cruising on Marco Polo in June. I can take a tuxedo if wearing a lounge suit for the formal nights is likely to upset other passengers (I want to "fit in" as first time cruiser). What are the views on this from those of you who have already experienced this season's Marco Polo cruises?

we have just returned from a cruise to Norwegian Fjords on The Marco Polo approx 70% wore a Tux and 30% a Suit and Tie for the formal night either is acceptable.

It is some time since we were on the Marco Polo, but found it a very friendly and pleasant ship. I took a tuxedo and felt that it fitted in perfectly. The Fillipino crew were so pleasant and helpful, you should have no problems about feeling out of place. Enjoy your cruise as I am sure you will

I would think that wearing either would be fine if you only have a lounge suite take that,if you need to buy one then a tux is the cheaper option,not having sailed with this line i hope you get more info?

Well Saunders. My wife and I have recently returned from a cruise on Marco polo. The male passengers on our trip wore a mixture of lounge suits and evening dress/tuxedo and not a head was turned so dont worry and enjoy your cruise. Peter, Bexle

Wear a lounge suit if you wish - it is acceptable & many do. I did on recent P&O 'Arcadia'& was not alone J

Wear a tux if you want but others and i had a suit and tie some no tie.Do your own thing you will fit in.
